1) HOW MUCH DOES A WEEKLY MOWING SERVICE COST? Our basic lawn mowing price starts at $40, but of course, pricing is based on the estimated amount of time that will take our team to complete your grass cutting. Things that will affect the estimated amount of time include property size, property layout, current landscaping condition, the complexity of the landscaping, and your requested scope of work.
2) WHAT DO YOU INCLUDE WITH YOUR BASIC LAWN MOWING SERVICE?
Our basic mowing service includes cutting the lawn, fine line trimming around obstacles, borders, and blowing grass clippings off paved surfaces. More importantly, we keep our lawn mower blades sharp, and we will alternate mowing patterns every week to ensure a fresh cut lawn.
3) HOW OFTEN DOES YOUR CREW SHOW UP?
Our most common lawn mowing schedule is once per week.
4) WHAT DAY WILL YOUR CREW MOW MY LAWN WITH THE WEEKLY MOWING SERVICE?
Our lawn care business uses routes based on geographic areas, similar to your trash pick up service. When you sign up for service, our office staff will let you know what day of the week you can expect our crew.
5)WHAT IF I DON'T NEED YOUR CREWS TO MOW MY LAWN ONE WEEK?
If you call or email our office 24 hours before your mowing day, you can cancel service for that week. We will come the following week to cut your lawn.
6) DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN YOU SERVICE MY PROPERTY?
Of course not! There is no need for you to wait at home for our crew to come to mow your lawn. Our goal at Emerald Green Lawn Care is to simplify your life, by showing up and taking care of your lawn service for you. So go to work, drop your kids off at school, enjoy your time, while we take care of your yard work. Be sure if you have a locked gate, our crews have access to your lawn and that your pets are safe inside.
7) I HAVE LOCKS ON MY BACK GATES, CAN I UNLOCK THEM WHEN YOUR CREW IS HERE?
When our crew arrives on site, they are expecting to get right to work. If you do keep your fence gates locked, we advise that use a “coded” lock and provide that code to our office where we can securely keep the code on file. Often weather delays can change your regular service day. We have found it to be smoother for our clients if we have the ability to lock and unlock the gate for you. If our crew cannot unlock your gates at the time of service they will skip the inaccessible area. Our crew will service that area the following week.
8) DO YOU PULL WEEDS WHEN YOU COME TO MOW MY LAWN? Our basic lawn mowing services do not include weed pulling. However, you can choose one of our landscape maintenance packages, which includes routine weed pulling and mowing. We also offer weed pulling as an à la carte service.
9) WILL YOU WEED WACK? Yes, our basic mowing service includes using a line trimmer (also known as a weed wacker) to trim grass against the driveway, sidewalks, and hardscapes. Our crews will not use a weed wacker against obstacles like fences and playsets, to avoid any potential damage.
10) DO YOU BAG THE CLIPPINGS? We do offer lawn bagging as an optional add on service. However, our basic weekly mowing service does not include bagging. If you would like to add this service onto your weekly mowing, call our office to get this scheduled.
11) WHAT IF IT RAINS ON MY NORMAL MOWING DAY?
In the case of a rain delay, we will automatically reschedule your home as a high priority the next mowable day.
12) WHAT IF MY MOWING DAY FALLS ON A HOLIDAY?
If your mowing date falls on a holiday, we will reschedule your home as a high priority the next mowable day. Sometimes we may be able to shift our schedules to service your property before the holiday. In this event, our office will send you a notification of the service date change.
13) WE HAVE DOGS, WILL YOUR CREW CLOSE OUR GATE?
Yes, our lawn mowing crews are trained to walk the property once the mowing service is finished and close any gate we opened during the service.
14) DO I HAVE TO CLEAN UP DOG MESS BEFORE SERVICE?
Of course not! While our crews do appreciate your efforts, it is not a requirement to pick up your dog mess before your mowing service. Our commercial equipment will ride over what is present and mulch it into the lawn.
15) I’M HAVING A PARTY ON SATURDAY, CAN I HAVE MY LAWN MOWED ON FRIDAY BEFORE?
We do take requests for a one time, lawn reschedules, for events like family parties. However, requests are based upon having openings with our schedule and no rain delays. Our advice is to contact us ten days prior so that we can ensure we can complete your request.
16) CAN YOUR LAWN MOWING CREW TRIM MY BUSHES WHEN THEY COME TO MOW? Our basic mowing service does not include bush trimming. But, you can choose one of our lawn care packages, which includes routine bush trimming and mowing.
17) WHAT IF MY GRASS IS LONG? Our base pricing is valid for grass up to 6 inches in total length. Most lawns with routine maintenance each week grow less than this amount. If you have an actively growing lawn or have not had your lawn mowed in a while, it may be over 6 inches when the crew comes to perform that service. We require our crews to provide a completed, professional job to our clients. To do this in tall grass, we may have to mow over the property twice, slow down, and bag or rake up clippings. Lawns between 6-9″ may be mowed on your regular service day, but will incur additional charges to account for the extra labor and equipment wear. Usually, this is twice the base rate for that visit.
18) HOW DO I PAY MY BILL?
We will send you an invoice once per month. If payment is not received within 10 days we and no attempt was made to make a pay arrangement we will suspend service. Currently we accept cash, check, paypal, venmo, and cash app.
19) WHAT IS YOUR LAWN MOWING SERVICE AREA?
We are located in the 45410 area code and rarely travel more than 20 miles outside this area. However, if the job is big enough we will consider taking you as a client
